Thanks to all the people and their Cairns that have participated in our annual Toto Eye Clinics. Dr. Olivero announced that the MN Clinic showed that 96% of the Cairns examined were free of Ocular Melanosis-and that is very exciting. Dr. Olivero has found optic nerve hypoplasia, coloboma, early OM, no glaucoma, cataracts and a focal cataract, that may be trauma or age related. Most of the Cairn eyes have CERF'D as normal. Blood samples have been sent to the researcher looking for the marker for OM-we hope that in some small way, the Cairn eye will be healthier for our effort and your participation! Our Fourth Toto Clinic was another success-great participation and we also did cheek swabs that were then sent to Dr. Simon Peterson-Jones to aid research! We are planning the 5TH annual Toto clinic-save the date now-October 29, 2005, beginning at 9AM. A very huge thanks to Dr. Dennis Olivero and his wonderful staff! |
